What you are agreeing to.
How a build works, start to finish. The order it happens in, what each part costs, when each half is due, and who owns what at the end. If anything here is not clear, ask me first.
The order it happens in.
You tell me about the business
What it does, and what you want the site to do. That is enough for me to tell you the price. Asking commits you to nothing.
You pay half up front
$300 on a landing page, $750 on a five page site, $1,000 on a ten page site. I send a PayPal link you can pay with a card, and you do not need a PayPal account. Venmo or Zelle if you would rather, just ask. Nothing starts before this.
I build the site
The real website, made out of your photos, your words and your prices. I build it myself.
While I am building, changing text, fonts, photos and colours is free, as many times as you like. Anything bigger, a new page or a different layout, I tell you the number before I start it. If you say yes it goes on the second half.
You open the finished site
I send you a link ending in pages.dev and the whole site is there, on the web, working. Not a screenshot and not a mockup. Open it on your phone, press every button, read every page, show it to anybody you want.
You pay the other half
Due once you have seen it built, and before your web address goes on. You are looking at the finished site when you pay it.
I change what you ask for
Tell me what you want changed. Same rule as during the build. Changing text, fonts, photos and colours is free, as many times as you like. Anything bigger, a new page or a different layout, I tell you the number before I start it.
I connect your web address
The last step. Once it is on, yourshop.com is your site and the pages.dev link stops being the way in.
What it costs.
One landing page
One page, built around the single thing you want people to do. The deposit is $300.
A five page site
Five pages, each one its own way in from Google. The deposit is $750.
A ten page site
Ten pages. That is the most this price covers. The deposit is $1,000.
Every page past the tenth
Fifteen pages is $2,500. Twenty pages is $3,000.
Changes or add-ons to a site that already exists
Whether I built it or somebody else did. $300 is the minimum, and I tell you the number before I start.
An AI feature
That range is the price of one feature, not all of them, so two features are two prices. Set by how big the site is and how many pages it has.
Your web address is not part of any of these prices. You buy that yourself.
If a build is cancelled
If either of us walks away.
If you cancel after paying the deposit, it is not refundable. It booked your slot and I started work on your site.
If I cancel, and tell you I cannot build your site, you get 80% of what you have paid back.
What is yours after it goes live.
The site is yours
Once it is live it belongs to you. I do not resell a design I have already given somebody else, and I never will, so what you end up with stays a one of one.
Your web address
You buy it yourself, in your own name, so it stays yours whatever happens between us. It costs about $10 to $20 a year and that goes to the company that sells web addresses, not to me. I set it up and connect it. I do not own it and I do not hold it.
Where the site is hosted
Hosting is what keeps the site on the internet. By default it sits on my Cloudflare account, and there is no monthly fee to me.
Or you can host it yourself
If you would rather have it on your own account, you can. Once the site is paid for in full I give you the files, you put them up on your own Cloudflare account, and I help you connect your web address to it.
You get a copy, and I keep one
You get your own copy of the finished site. I keep a copy too, so if yours is ever lost you can ask me for it.
Changes after it is live
Small fixes stay free. A changed price, a swapped photo, holiday hours, just send me a message. Anything bigger, a new page or a rebuild of one, starts at $300.
Anything on this page you want to check, email me at [email protected] and ask.
